Important Information for Larch Class
Below you will find any important information relating to our class timetable and some suggested resources and websites to help your children with their learning. Please remember the importance of keeping children safe online and always ensure you monitor your child when they are using computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
Our class currently has PE on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.
Please help the children make the most of their PE lesson by ensuring all children have a suitable PE kit including, shorts or jogging bottoms, a plain tshirt, plimsoles or trainers. Earrings and other jewellery should be removed on PE days or covered up. Every time your child has their PE kit in school they will be awarded a dojo for being organised.
PE days can change unexpectedly so it is helpful to bring a PE kit on Monday and leave it in school until Friday to avoid disappointment.
Spelling days and further learning
All the children will recieve a set of spellings to learn each week and will be tested on these in school. These are words linked to the phonics or spelling and grammar skills your children are being taught or the common exception words they are expected to learn as part of the English national curriculum. Helping your child learn these could make a big difference to their reading and writing in school and also boost their self confidence. We usually give the children a week to learn these and 5 minutes every night practising could really help them progress.
