At Queen Mary we believe all children should have the opportunity to learn new skills outside of the school day. We offer a variety of after school clubs throughout the school year and children can sign up for as many as they like. Places are offered on a first come, first serve basis but we aim to ensure all children have the opportunity to attend at least one after school club.

In Year 2 the children have the opportunity to become a school councillor. They apply for this position and their classmates vote for their class representatives. The Year 2 children can also apply for a variety of school jobs. They have to fill out an application form and express their interest for their chosen role, they could become:

• Gardners
• Lunchtime monitor
• Gardeners 
• Positive play team member
