Pupil Premium Grant
In 2011 Pupil Premium Funding was introduced by the Department for Education (DfE) as they believe this is the best way to narrow the attainment gap between children eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) and their peers by ensuring funding reaches the children who need it most. This funding is for pupils who have been registered for Free School Meals (FSM) at any point in the last 6 years (Ever 6 FSM) or are being continuously looked after by the local authority for more than six months (LAC).
